We Are Attached
You are attached to me
And I am attached to you
Yes, some days you let me have my way
But most times it’s up to you
It took more than 20 years to truly appreciate you
And not conform to what people said about you
As of today
I love you
for all that you give
Beauty and uniqueness
The questions
The admirers
It’s all about you
Sometimes you let me choose
what to do
But, sometimes
It does not work out
Like I saw on YOU-TUBE
Kinky
Curly
Straight
Braids
Or all out
Fake or not
We are attached
No matter how we stand
With our strands
Because we are attached.
And I am attached to you
