The Kitchen
The Kitchen
A place to Escape
A place to hear silence
But not
I can hear the motor of the refrigerator
The birds outside the window
The sounds of the tires hitting the pavement of the streets
The Kitchen
A place to Escape
To gather ones thoughts
To take some time alone
As I eat……
I feel the warmth of the food touch my tongue
The sound of the bread as I bite down and chew
As I take another bite from my fork
I have a new thought of a peace
